District-Level Seminar 2025 on F.L.N.: A Soul of School Education Held Successfully

Ranpur, 24/02 : A district-level seminar on “Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (F.L.N.): A Soul of School Education” was successfully organized at DIET Nayagarh, Rajsunakhala. The seminar aimed to emphasize the importance of foundational literacy and numeracy skills in strengthening the primary education system. The event was presided over by Sj. Bijay Kumar Tripathy, Principal, DIET Nayagarh, Rajsunakhala, with the seminar coordination led by Manoranjan Dash, Senior Teacher Educator. Several distinguished guests and education experts graced the occasion, including: Dr. Akshay Kumar Mohanty, Reader in Education, Rajsunakhala College, Sj. Sarat Kumar Seth, Principal, DIET Rayagada, Bissamcuttack, Smt. Krishna Rani Majhi, Pedagogy Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha, Nayagarh, Sj. Aman Kumar Mishra, Representative, Piramal Foundation.

The seminar featured insightful discussions on strategies to enhance foundational literacy and numeracy among students. Experts highlighted innovative teaching methodologies, digital interventions, and the role of educators in achieving the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 goals. Dr. Akshay Kumar Mohanty stressed the need for early childhood education as a pillar of academic success, while Sj. Sarat Kumar Seth emphasized teacher training and curriculum development. Smt. Krishna Rani Majhi shared best practices for making learning engaging, and Sj. Aman Kumar Mishra elaborated on community involvement in educational reforms. Additionally, Teacher Educators Dipak Kumar Pradhan, Pratap Kumar Mahapatra, Batakrushna Sahu, Manas Ranjan Sahu, and Santos Kumar Mahapatra actively participated in discussions on various aspects of education, sharing their insights and expertise. The event concluded with an interactive session where educators shared their experiences and challenges in implementing F.L.N. programs.

The district administration and education department assured continuous efforts toward improving primary education standards. This seminar marked a significant step toward enhancing the quality of school education and ensuring a strong foundational base for students across the district. The students of the institution actively contributed to the smooth execution of the program by assisting in various event-related activities. Their involvement showcased the spirit of teamwork and leadership in organizing such an academic gathering.
